About Tyler Juranek

 

Tyler was born in August of 1996 without sight.  This has never slowed Tyler down. He has always been driven to help others.

Today, Tyler is a licensed massage therapist and owns his own business. He also owns his own tractor, is involved in many clubs and organizations, and up until the beginning of 2024, even hosted a spot on the radio. He has an important friend, Bodie, a seven-year-old black lab, to help in his adventures. Bodie has become a good friend, is extremely smart, is good at his job of being a guide dog and is getting smarter every day…sometimes even managing to teach Tyler a thing or two!

               Throughout his life, Tyler has worked hard to advocate for equality for the visually impaired and also has served actively in leadership. Besides his business, Tyler has served as Vice-President of the American Council of the Blind of Nebraska, (2023-2025), is an active member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Council Bluffs and continues to actively participate in activities like tractor rides, the Carsten Farms tractor show, and entertainment at retirement homes. He also attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2014.
